A clear, flat fee for change-of-mind cancellations
If you change your mind after paying and request cancellation and a refund before delivery, a $50 CAD cancellation and restocking fee per order is deducted from your refund. This is a single flat deduction, not a percentage of your battery price and not a fee per battery.
No additional checkout charge
You pay the normal order total at checkout. The $50 fee is only applied if you later request a change-of-mind cancellation and refund. It is not added to the price of a completed delivery.
Why the fee applies
Preparing your order can involve a technician travelling to collect your battery, handling it and reserving it for your delivery. Preparation may begin shortly after payment, even when you select a future delivery date. The fee helps cover these collection, handling and restocking costs.
How your refund works
For an eligible change-of-mind cancellation before delivery, we refund your payment less a total deduction of $50 CAD. For example, if you paid $300 in total, your refund would be $250. This policy does not add a separate collection or restocking charge on top of the $50 deduction. Any required tax adjustments are reflected in the refund.
All battery sales are final upon delivery
Once delivered, batteries cannot be returned or exchanged due to a change of mind, incorrect size, or customer selection error. Please confirm the battery’s specifications, dimensions, terminal configuration, and compatibility with your vehicle or equipment before ordering.
Defective batteries are handled under the applicable warranty terms.
How to request cancellation
Contact DIYBattery as soon as possible using the contact details in your order confirmation. Include your order number and tell us that you wish to cancel and request a refund. Please contact us before delivery so we can arrange to stop the order.
Your consumer rights remain unchanged. Nothing on this page excludes or limits rights or remedies required by applicable law. This fee applies only to orders placed after the policy was disclosed before purchase; it is not applied retroactively to earlier orders.
